The pandemic has significantly impacted my professional life - my 20 year retrospective exhibition, scheduled for April, was postponed. After the show was put on hold, my creative energy was depleted. To keep engaged, I began a Corona Sketchbook. This self-portrait is #47 and was made the day after I attended a two day, online meditation retreat. Today, I am almost 70 pages into this daily practice which has helped me get back to new studio work. Working with my woven paper process, I am now making pieces using a template for face masks and weaving text and images from the never-ending stream of pandemic information including the, at times, disturbing response and incompetent leadership during this worldwide crisis.
