With family in both [Brazil and the United States] the agony of surviving this virus (unseen to the naked eye) has been a struggle and a lifetime lesson. The portrait reveals inner issues, a struggle with time and it is almost "decorative" because this unseen "life-form" (or whatever it is called) has also shown humankind how to cope with others in distance, cope with time, with matters that we would never have thought about dealing with if it was not for this historical moment, it has shown us ways to deal with life and society in unique ways... it has consumed many, but still has been teaching us many ways of better understanding humankind behavior during times of isolation, destruction, pain, uncertainty. I have learned to see myself in a different way... and I am surviving the unseen, day by day... the unseen virus, the unseen me.
