This sculpture began as a representation of an abstract form that I had perceived sometime in the last year. In building the form, I started to explore a sort of self-exploration, particularly in how I see myself in the role of mother. The work was ultimately finished at the beginning of the global pandemic, and now as I view it, I see a completely different, but thoroughly accurate depiction of myself in this time.
