Peggy Stevenson. April 24, 2020. Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Because of the covid lockdown, I started organizing my accumulated stacks of memorabilia and I chanced upon an old black and white portrait of myself at 12 years old. I was very shy about having my photograph taken by a professional photographer, who instructed me to look off into the distance. It helped a little but what I remember most was trying not to blink. I'm 56 years old now and I'm still very shy when it comes to my photo being taken. But now I'm also a photographer.
