I wanted to capture myself as I am often seen, wincing in direct sunlight, like the ginger I am. Unfortunately exiting our homes into the sunlight has become more uncomfortable than ever for completely different reasons, which is what I hoped to capture in this self portrait. My work is small and prepared to hang via a harness-like frame created by stitching the panels with wire. I am interested in the fine line between craft-work and art-work and aim to create objects that are completely unique and precious.
